The Fellowship Organization

The Fellowship of Friends is registered as a 501(c)(3) California non-profit church organization and is a member of the International Council of Community Churches (ICCC). The Fellowship was founded in 1970 in the Fourth Way tradition, also known as “esoteric Christianity”.

As the Fellowship continues to evolve, it has become increasingly aware of the connections that exist between spiritual schools and religions throughout the history of humanity, including the Egyptians, Judaism, Christianity, and Hinduism. The spiritual doctrines and practices of the church have expanded to incorporate understandings of many spiritual teachings. In the past, the primary focus was on the teachings of Ouspensky and Gurdjieff. The Fellowship now increasingly looks to the texts of the great religions for its spiritual guidance and understanding.
