The qualities of a human MACHINE which are inherent at birth, such as physical characteristics, BODY TYPE, CENTER OF GRAVITY and ALCHEMY. An experience of essence is often accompanied by a sense of child-like wonder. According to the teaching of Robert Burton, essence can develop beyond the limitations of the human machine: when essence is aware of itself while observing an object, and not in fascination, it leads to the awakening of one's HIGHER CENTERS.
